How do I check if a website is down right now?

Enter any web address and we send a real HTTP request to it from our servers, follow any redirects, and report the status code, response time, SSL certificate and DNS records. If the server responds normally the site is up; if it errors or times out, it's down.

Is the site down for everyone, or is it just me?

Our check runs from our own servers rather than your network, so it tells the two apart. If we can't reach the site either, it's down for everyone and there's nothing to do but wait. If we can load it but you can't, the problem is on your end — your Wi-Fi, DNS cache, VPN or ISP.

Can I check a specific service like YouTube, Facebook, Discord or ChatGPT?

How current are the results?

A site shows as up but I still can't open it — why?

That usually points to a local problem: a stale DNS cache, a browser extension or VPN blocking the site, or your ISP. Each status page lists the exact steps to clear it.
